10/10 for power usage and heat generation. On a regular day, the monitor doesn't even feel like it has heat, it feels like room temperature basically. My room is a sauna in the summer because our building is rather old so heat gets sucked in and I have no AC in my room yet it stays cooler than what my HP f70 was in the cold winter months. In fact, there are NO vents whatsoever on this monitor. I feel the back of the monitor every so often and it does not get hot like traditional CCFL-based LCDs. It is expected of LEDs to be low power but with a very bright light. Power usage according to Newegg is as follows: LED lighting does not make a difference either in terms of color quality, or maybe it is that it emits less bleeding? You guys can figure this one out. I play Blu-Rays to this through HDMI and it shows blacks as dark as the panel itself with the minor exception being slight backlight bleed. This puts my old HP f70 to shame since that older guy did nothing but spit Backlight even with 26,000 hours on it. From a viewing distance of 1.5 feet, it is not noticeable one bit. Like any other LCD however this does have backlight bleed but it is literally minimal. I added 13% Digital Vibrance from nVidia's Control Panel as well.īlack levels after I adjusted them were among one of the best I've seen on any LCD Monitor or even TV. So far it can make noticeable changes by making the picture a bit cooler and dimmer in the dark and leaving it neutral to warm in plain daylight or room light. It has a little hole next to the power button which is the light sensor and I have it enabled. It also has white balance (greyed for HDMI, DVI) and Factory Reset.Īfter adjusting the color settings, I finally got it to look both vibrant and not overly bright. The last menu "Others" includes Language, Power Indicator LED and Button LED On/Off switches. Why waste such a nice monitor on Analog connections unless it is for older computers? Volume control for HDMI is also found through the same menu but is only available for HDMI inputs. The color temperatures are as follows in the presets (Mine is currently sRGB):ĭisplay Controls such as Horizontal, Vertical, Clock, Phase, Overscan found on many displays are greyed out for DVI and HDMI. The Picture settings through DVI that I have set are as follows:īlack Level is greyed out for Analog only I have seen MagicBright and prefer that to the f-engine on mine.

LG FLATRON E2350V LED MONITOR PDF
I opened it from the large flat face to find the CD with the PDF manual, EasySet Program installer (for the smart+ feature, not necessary to use though), and the monitor driver replacing the text of Generic PnP Monitor. The insides were well put together not squeezing anything or wobbling loosely. The packaging was well put together for the most part but thought the plastic handle bar was about to fall loose when taking it from our UPS lady so I carried it manually.

Touch-sensitive controls, no click buttons or tactile response.Antiglare/Matte screen, Glossy Black frame (gets pretty messy pretty quickly which is why I wipe it off after turning off the panel).

Wish me luck I may be amateurish in some areas of my review. First and foremost, I have been using this monitor for about a month already to make sure nothing goes wrong on like day 3 after my post.
